*Miss ko na yung mga pogi at makukulit kong pamangkin. Haay. Para sa inyo ang song na ito by Corrine May. =)

My Little Nephew (Lyrics)
By Corrinne May

its funny how one thing happens and changes your whole point of view
everything that seems to matter, has cast aside for a better truth
you're growing faster with every minute, second, photograph
i wish i could spend more time with you
my little nephew

everyday a new discovery i'm a child again looking through your eyes
with every step you're teaching me how to fall and cry, get up and smile
you're growing faster with every minute, second, photograph
i wish i could spend more time with you
my little nephew

but you're far away and i am over here
memories are lost in these span of years
so, when i go will u miss me?
when i go will u remember me?

you're growing faster with every minute, second, photograph
i wish i could spend more time with you
my little nephew

see you'll learn to tie your shoes
say the sky is blue
and that your bestfriend has winnie the pooh
my little nephew

13 Challenges
Tue January 15, 2008

Part of the value I hope to add to you is to be a catalyst for positive change in your work and personal life. To gently push/move and challenge you. To get better. To grow more. To be great - regardless of your title or your background or your current reality.

Here are 13 challenges I offer:

Champion a child

Encourage a co-worker

Read a a great book

Do something that frightens you

Write a thank you note

Do something kind for a stranger

Wow a customer

Learn something new

Let go of a resentment

Do better work

Be more passionate

Speak truthfully

Stand for excellence

I'm starting the new year right. Me and Raya (my running buddy) were serious in our training para sa marathon for the Standard Chartered Marathon sa December. Sa December pa? Yes, you are reading it right. As early as now nagstart na kame ng training. Medyo ambitious kasi kame, gusto namin once lang kame sasali sa marathon (this year nga yun) kaya we are aiming for the FULL marathon. :) Impossible is nothing ika nga sabi nga ng Adidas eh. :D

Last Friday, we bought Mizuno running shoes for ourselves. :) This morning, na-break-in na namin ang aming respective Wave Riders. Meron na agad improvement sa performance. =)

I'm proud and happy to announced kasi meron 3 pinays na sumali last year ng full marathon at counted sila sa 100 na nakatapos nito. Galing nyo mga idol! =)

Kaya natin ito Raya! =) Basta go lang tayo sa endurance training para matapos natin ang full marathon at makuha natin ang ating medal. :D

The Invitation
by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain!I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithlessand therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day,and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”

It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

* Thanks Kit for sharing this! This is nice, I like it too. :)

A successful day:
to learn something new; to laugh at least ten times; to lift someone up; to make progress on a worthy goal; to practice peace and patience; to do something nice for yourself and another; to appreciate and be grateful for all your blessings.
